Before I start I will address the elephant in the room. Yes this blog is out a week late! That's my bad! Its been a very hectic week! I’ve got a pretty crazy month coming up that I’ve been preparing for. Some of you already know what's going on but for those that don’t, you will find out soon enough!!
Shall we get into it then? So last Sunday, Silly Sunday!, The Revenant finally got their headline slot at the Rockhouse! I’m going to attempt to piece together from memory how the gig was. It was a week ago and I was rather drunk! Yeah very professional I know!! Also I’m writing this on the train and anyone that knows me knows how easily distracted I get so I might end up just staring out of the window for a while! Writing this on the train makes a travel blogger now I guess. I’m moving up in the world.
Right on que I got distracted!! I was trying to think of something interesting to say but all I can think off is how rubbish South West trains are! Anyway you came to read about The Revenant show, not my journey! I wont do the usual, every band was amazing stuff. I’ve written about 3 of the bands before anyway. I’ll do a quick overview for you.
Its always good to see Luke perform. We’ve now got a staple pic I always have to get of him. Hence the pointing! The new guy on the bill, Conor Quinlan, really surprised me. When I saw him sound checking a keyboard I was not expecting what he actually did. He sort of had a Jack Garret vibe going with keyboards, loops, chaos pads, bass and guitar all at the same time. It was pretty impressive to watch. Go check him out on Facebook. He must have it. He's young!
Miss Misery were good as always. Ive seen them a few times now and they get better each time. There defiantly one to look out for in the future. What is it with graffiti on the side of train tracks? How do these artists even get there? I mean some of it is actually pretty decent. Yeah ok I got distracted again! The Revenant, well it was packed out to see them. They pulled one of the biggest crows I’ve ever seen in the Rockhouse and they did not disappoint! They nailed it. I’m not going to sit here blowing their trumpets but they really didn't disappoint. They took everything they’d learnt from previous shows and applied it. I would put money on them going places. I’m not sure where but somewhere!!
So then. Yeah! That brings us to the end of another blog. Mainly because I cant think of anything else to say! I’m going to stare out of the train window for a bit and work out what to have for dinner. Exiting I know! The blogs going to go quiet for a little while, but don't worry I will be back in July with an update of what I’ve been doing. You can always send me a message!
In the mean time, (you ready for this?), don't forget to like, share, subscribe, repost, retweet, put on Instagram live, post the blog to a family member, read on the toilet, look both ways while crossing the street, stare out of a train window for hours, pretend to look interested, get distracted while writing and look on snapchat, send me a snapchat, send nudes (don’t do that, my non existent other half may or may not get offended if they were real!)…I could go on but I’ll leave it here. Until next time. Rock on!!! (well that was cringe worthy wasn't it!)…Peace!!
